New web address and new old photos

With the help of my friends (Ofer Laster) we are now the proud owners of gezerolives.com. The website hasn't moved (still using Weebly) but still- a big step.  It also got me itching to add stuff, and luckily Shimshon Pat Elazar sent me some old olive slides that he scanned into his computer. You can see the slideshow in the photos section.
We've only received 71% of our annual average rainfall so far. 319 mm vs. 450 mm avg. With the end of the rainy season fast approaching, not too much hope. But in spite of the forecast a light rain has been falling for the past hour. Yahoo!
But the amount is only part of the story. For the olives, it's important that the rain come in small amounts spread across the entire season. And this year that's what we've had. So not all bad news.
For anyone who has never been in Israel in February and March, this is wildflower season. I'm not an expert, but you can't miss the anenomes, cyclamens, irises and lupines, and there are tons more. Soon the red poppies will be blooming, along with the OLIVES!  More on that in a couple weeks.
