28/3/2010 0 Comments Flowering Olive TreesThe trees are flowering now, and so far it looks to be a good yield (tphu tphu ) . I posted a couple photos of the flowers- look in the photos section.
Yesterday Benny and I dug up 70 seedlings that grew from seed under the shimlali trees, planted them in tree bags. I hope to plant them in the orchard next spring. Also bought some yellow sticky traps to catch the olive flies, and will hang them next week. After a dry hot spell, we're getting some nice rain yesterday afternoon and this morning. Perfect timing!
